We have esteemed leaders?  

We did everything Bin Laden always wanted...in the 1980's, unconditional support (financial, technological, logistic) in Afghanistan.
In the 1990's, everywhere al qaeda sympathetic and/or aligned forces fought Christianity the US supported him (Chechnya, Kosovo, Karabagh, Sudan, ect).

We never cared about Interpol or the information about them being organized crime.  We thought we were scoring brownie points with them.

Did Sept 11 even change anything?  Oh yeah, the fascism spread to within our borders now!

I can still hear the chants from 2004..."four more years!  four more years!"

Just think with the economic collapse at hand how much more strain this war will put on America. And if in the worsening economic situation if the people rise up in strikes and protests America could see a military dictatorship.
